West Van Community Stakeholders was formed in 2019 in response to what seemed like a bureaucracy rolling over the wishes of residents. District staff, together with TransLink, were going to put their B-Line through West Van from Park Royal to Dundarave – taking out a complete lane for buses in each direction (which were scheduled every 8 minutes) and removing a parking lane in Ambleside core, intending to finish up with a terminus at a washroom – to be built just outside a kindergarten at Irwin Park school. WVCS, under the leadership of Nigel Malkin brought arguments to the table, in dialogues with Staff, which forced District and TransLink to back off.

Fast forward to 2023 and our Board consists of these 7 people:
